Leadership as a Service

We have three broad offerings under our Leadership as a Service capability. These are:

  • Skills Transfer: we assist in the development of teams or individuals within client organisations as part of a wider consultancy engagement
  • Interim CIO-ships: we can offer temporary CIO canditates; or 'virtual CIO' services where we can help with specific CIO-level tasks
  • Coaching: we use our professional coach (PCC, MCC, CPCC) network to offer one-to-one, or team-based, coaching sessions. The coaching frameworks available can also address organisational effectiveness and leadership.

Skills Transfer

We believe that many IT business projects fail because of insufficient attention to team leadership coupled with inadequate mentoring, lack of experience and poor team communications.

There are generally many 'moving parts' required to deliver the necessary outcomes. It is now an accepted way of life to rely on the services of trusted third parties, external services and internal services from other parts of the business. The job of integrating these disparate functions falls to the senior leadership team and assistance must be available to ensure success.

In our pool of talent, we have proven technical and project leaders who have faced these issues many times before. They bring to bear incisive action that will re-energise teams, identify areas to work on and provide management systems that are pragmatic and motivating. We bring these skills naturally as part of our way of working - these are not bolted on as afterthoughts.

Interim CIO

Within our network we have former Chief Information Officers (CIOs) who are able to take on the role for a temporary period while a permanent post is vacant. We are also able to offer this in the form of a 'virtual CIO', for example where a CIO-level task is required or where a CIO skill-set needed within the senior team.

By adopting a 'task vs. role' approach we are able to work with our clients to perform a specific activity or produce a specific output. Examples of this are:

  • Produce a business aligned IT strategy and present this to a senior team in business language
  • Carry out a strategic review of current IT capability and identify change priorities
  • Produce metrics and scorecards that indicate how IT is serving the business
  • Assist in the selection process of permanent CIO candidates

Coaching Services

We also have a number of professional, certified Coaches who are able to facilitate workshops or conduct one-on-one mentoring with executives, managers and professionals. These are valuable services that are there to support the individuals and teams in their jobs. In addition, there are long term benefits to personal development that equip individuals with skills that will serve them throughout their careers.
